The "Silicon Valley of India" Bangalore is home for many famous educational institutions. Institutions like the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Indian Institute of Management (IIMB), National Institute of Fashion Technology, National Institute of Design, National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) have made Bangalore the nerve center for higher education in India.

In fact, owing to the fact that most IT companies have their branches and head offices in Bangalore, there are many who have migrated to Bangalore in search of lucrative careers. There are also a host of government organizations that have their branches here. Being the fourth largest contributor to GDP of the country, Bangalore has one of the best infrastructures for commerce and education.

With a huge population there is always a possibility that the standards of education would be diluted. However, this is not the case with Bangalore. Educationists have taken the tradition of being torchbearers of knowledge. Right from preschools to post graduate colleges, Bangalore has a list of distinguished institutions for students to choose.

If one considers the list of nursery schools and preschools here, one would find that Bangalore has more to offer than many other cities in India. Preschool chains like Bachpan, Kidzee, Aerokids, Oi, Shanti Juniors, and Hello Kids have many branches here in Bangalore.

In the case of high school education, Bangalore had a history of many convent schools that have educated many generations and now in this digital era it offers a lot many techno, digital and international schools. Popular schools like Ravindra Bharathi Global School, Geetanjali Olympiad Schools, Mount Litera Zee School, Appollo National School, and Amrutha Bharathi Vidya Kendra provide top class education. Here the schools mostly provide CBSE, and ICSE syllabus.

With over 2772 primary schools, 1,177 high schools, 209 pre-university schools, 26 engineering colleges, 13 law colleges, 15 medical colleges and 12 dental colleges, Bangalore has an enormous educational infrastructure. This offers lot of choice and scope for parents and students to opt for the best school or college. But, the task of choosing the correct institution has certainly become Herculean!

If you get the drift, Bangalore provides so many educational institutions that it is tough for anybody to zero in on an institution. Generally, parents go by advice given by their friends, relatives, and colleagues. The flaw with this is, what might be good for one might not be good for others.

Of late, there are many online educational portals that have come up to the rescue of parents and students. These online educational portals provide information on educational institutions along with lists of preschools, schools, high schools, and colleges. With user reviews and online admission facilities these online educational portals have become more proactive as ancillary units of the education industry. To get the drift a parent might log on to one of these portals and get vital information and services.

As Bangalore keeps expanding, there would be need for more quality educational institutions. With no respite in both the demand and supply, the education industry is set to touch new highs.
