Dr. I. D. Rastogi Academy - Kundari Rakabganj - Lucknow

Town Hall Public Inter College is well known in the city from producing meritorious students year after year who have gone on to become immensely successful in their respective careers.

From the humble beginnings in 1994 when the school started out of rented premises, the school has been blessed with love and affection of its students, alumnus, staff and patrons. Due to astounding success of the Town Hall Public Inter College located in Aliganj, the school management was overwhelmed with demand to start a sister concern in old city and a sister concern was launched in Chowk area in year 1998. The students, staff and faculty realized their well cherished dream of moving their own premises in 2006 when the Sector K, Aliganj branch formally came into existence. Students, staff and faculty of Chowk Branch were similarly rewarded when the state of art premises of Newazganj branch were inaugurated in 2007.

The state of art premises equipped with all the modern facilities and learning aids have added an altogether different dimension to academic and extra-curricular activities of the institute and made a world of difference to learning outcomes of its students. Town Hall Public Inter Colleges at Sector K, Aliganj and Newazganj Lucknow continue to flourish and offer academic curriculum from Nursery to Class XII th through English medium UP board of education.

Dr. I. D. Rastogi Academy was established keeping in mind the growing preference of parents to explore other boards of education beyond the state board. The society members decided to establish an ICSE Board school and to distinguish the ICSE board school from state board school, the new entity was proposed to be given a unique identity and in honour of our / founding manager was decided to be branded as Dr. I. D. Rastogi Academy. The new school under the aegis of Town Hall Educational Society commenced operation from Sahara Estate, Jankipuram campus from the academic year 2004-05 and the school was granted provisional affiliation in 2011 and the same was subsequently upgraded to permanent affiliation by the council on 20th January, 2016.

The Dr. I.D. Rastogi Academy is affiliated to the Delhi-based Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) which offers the ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) qualifications for Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. In addition to ICSE board of education, the school has become an academic centre affiliated to National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

A play is a key to physical, mental, intellectual and social well being of children. It impacts hugely on almost every developmental aspect of children’s lives holistically and with multifaceted ways. Young children spend a reasonable amount of time in school. Besides, for many children, school playtime is the most active part of their day. Therefore, school playground and school playtime are vitally important to children for their fun and relaxation as well as for their good health and well-being. School playgrounds play important role in their daily life for fulfilling their interest, development and learning needs. In Town Hall School we provide big safe playgrounds for students physical, mental, intellectual growth.
